My friend wrote some time ago a stunning fairytale.. it started like that:
long long time ago.. when hands could talk...

well..I submit it for him:) he said that only few hands can talk in these days.. one of them are mine:)

a touching portrayal of whatever this may mean

I think you're portraying that you want to stay close to a friend or lover
or
stay close to hope that someone is trying to keep from you or take away
It's amazing what one can get from art etc :)
It's such an amazing fascination that is still more to be learned about
